I just finished my lunch, delivered home by Chef Paul, via SUV not Vespa!  Today's Soup du Jour, freshly made Curried Chicken with Rice.  I ate TWO bowls - it was delicious.

Chicken slowly simmered in stock with onion, celery, golden carrots and buttery basmati rice; all seasoned with curry and a touch of black pepper.

Not all of you know that at home, Chef Paul is known as the Soup King!  A name we bestowed on him when he completed his savories culinary training in Washington State.

He specializes in french-style soups that enhance the flavors, minimize or eliminate salt, and create a creamy texture that in most soups includes no dairy.

Like his pastries, all soups are made by your chefs on-site!  They do not roll out of a trailer truck.

Specialities of the house include Country Tomato, Pork and Lentil, Parisienne Black Bean, Curried Chicken with Rice, Seafood Chowder, Beef Stew, Five Onion, Butternut Squash, Chicken Jalapeno, and more.

Which is your favorite?  Comment above.

The soups rotate daily and are ready to eat in, take home or savor at the office.  Soup du jour hotline - 603-224-5353!

Our thanks to all of you who came to Madeleines for shelter and sustenance from the storm.  Your tales of your adventures and misadventures with the ice kept us busy all weekend.  We were glad to be there for you!

Thanks to your eager appetites, the elves have come to bake your favorites for Tuesday morning!

THIS JUST IN! 11/30/2008

We just got wind that the December issue of New Hampshire Magazine includes a Madeleines plug...as soon as it's posted online we'll post it here...!  If you can't wait (and we couldn't) grab a copy of the magazine because it's out on newsstands n-o-w...yeehaw!

...for the perfect brioche.  Word just in that Tuesdays batch might have actually been THE best batch yet in Madeleines history.  We don't just randomly pat ourselves on the backs around here either, we really just appreciate good food and darn...when it's good, it's good...!
